School Site Representatives

The policy making body of the Etiwanda Teachers Association is the Representative Council. School Site Representatives serve as the primary source of communication between the teachers, ETA and the community. Reps are the official channel through which written communication is transmitted between ETA and teachers. School Site Representatives are responsible for holding 10-Minute Meetings throughout the school year to communicate ETA activities. In addition School Site Reps:
  • serve a term of 1 year (September to September)
  • conduct constant and ongoing liaison between the Rep Council and school sites
  • represent the views and input of teachers in votes taken during the Rep Council meetings
  • perform additional duties as prescribed by the Executive Board
School Site Representatives are determined by the number of teachers per site - one site representative per every 10 teachers at a school site. School sites may conduct a vote to determine site representatives and alternate representatives.
